It has a 1/2" memory foam middle layer that is extremely conforming and temperature-sensitive. It continuously molds and conforms to the shape of the horse's back then rebounds to its original shape when pressure is removed. This minimizes pressure points and relieves body stress. It is "open cell" foam allowing airflow in and out of the cells and pulling sweat away from the horse. The 5/8" orthopedic grade felt bottom soaks up moisture, allowing heat to dissipate away from your horse's back. It conforms to the horse's back while maintaining density and provides excellent shock absorption. This felt is washable so sweat and grime can be washed away as needed.

This is a great pad. One of our best sellers. It is built up along the bars of the saddle with a dense 1/2" foam. It is the same foam used in professional football helmets and is extremely shock absorbant. It is cut back at the withers and has a man made chamois underside to wick the moisture away from the horse's back. Because it is only built up along the saddle bars it is very thin and allows for tremendous contact between rider and horse.

The bottom of the pad (pictured) has removable inserts made of the same 1/2" dense foam used in the Cloud Pad seen above. The foam can be built up by using extra inserts or cut out to relieve areas of pressure. It will assist in curing a number of saddle fit issues.
